Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 June 2026
1. Who we are
SlideLobster ("SlideLobster", "we", "us", "our") is a digital signage service for venues, operated by TalentZ Global Ltd., a company registered in England & Wales with its registered office at Unit 7 Chelsea Wharf, 15 Lots Road, London, SW10 0QJ, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for personal information processed through the SlideLobster platform.
For any privacy question or request, contact us at team@slidelobster.com.
2. Scope
This policy applies to the SlideLobster website (slidelobster.com), the SlideLobster web application, the TV display experience, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). It does not apply to third-party websites or services that we link to.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Account information
When you create an account we collect your email address, name, and (for password sign-ups) a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, Google account ID, and profile picture.
3.2 Display, content and pairing data
The displays you create, slide content you author or upload, widget configurations, vanity URLs, pairing codes, and the names you give your TVs.
3.3 Facebook Login & Instagram (Instagram Business Login)
When you connect an Instagram account through Facebook / Instagram Business Login, with your explicit authorisation we receive and store:
- Your Instagram user ID, username and account type;
- An access token (and its expiry) so we can fetch your media on your behalf;
- Your recent media — captions, media URLs, thumbnails, timestamps and permalinks — cached so we can render your most recent posts on your TV displays.
We use this data only to display your most recent Instagram posts on the TV displays you have set up. We do not use Meta Platform data for advertising, do not sell it, do not transfer it to data brokers, and do not use it for any purpose other than the feature you authorised, in accordance with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies.
3.4 Google Sign-In
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your basic profile information (name, email, Google account ID, profile picture) solely to create and authenticate your SlideLobster account.
3.5 Google Calendar connection
If you connect Google Calendar (so the calendar widget can show upcoming events on your TV), we request read-only access to your calendar events. We store the connection tokens and a minimal cache of event titles, times and locations needed to render the slide. Google Calendar data accessed via Google APIs is used and transferred in compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, we do not use Google Calendar data to serve advertising, do not transfer it except as necessary to provide the feature you requested or as required by law, and humans do not read it except where you provide consent for support, for security investigations, or to comply with law.
3.6 Billing
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number; we store a Stripe customer ID and subscription metadata (plan, status, renewal dates).
3.7 Technical and log data
IP address, device/user-agent, pages viewed, and error reports. We use this to keep the Service reliable and secure.
4. How we use your information
- To provide, operate and improve the Service (rendering slides, syncing Instagram and calendar content, pairing TVs, sending magic links and pair codes);
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure;
- To process payments and manage subscriptions;
- To respond to support requests at team@slidelobster.com;
- To send essential service emails (you cannot opt out of these while you have an active account); marketing emails are sent only with your consent;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
5. Legal bases (UK/EU GDPR)
- Contract — to provide the Service you signed up for.
- Consent — for optional integrations you choose to enable, such as Instagram and Google Calendar. You can withdraw consent at any time by disconnecting the integration in Account.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the Service secure, prevent fraud, and improve our product.
- Legal obligation — to keep tax and accounting records.
6. Sharing your information
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with the sub-processors needed to run the Service:
- Lovable Cloud / Supabase — hosting, database, authentication, storage.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Google — sign-in and Calendar integration (only if you enable it).
- Meta (Facebook / Instagram) — Instagram Business Login (only if you enable it).
- Email delivery provider — transactional email (sign-up, magic links, receipts).
- Professional advisers and authorities where required by law.
7. International transfers
Some of our sub-processors are located outside the UK/EEA, including in the United States. Where this happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent mechanisms.
8. Retention
- Account data — while your account is active, then deleted within 30 days of account deletion (see Section 11).
- Instagram tokens and cached media — until you disconnect the integration or delete your account; then deleted immediately.
- Google Calendar tokens and cached events — same as above.
- Billing records — retained for 6 years to meet UK tax/accounting obligations, then deleted or anonymised.
- Error and access logs — up to 90 days.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures including TLS in transit, encryption at rest, hashed passwords, role-based access controls, and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure; if you become aware of a vulnerability please email team@slidelobster.com.
10. Your rights
Under UK/EU GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Exercise any of these by emailing team@slidelobster.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
11. Disconnecting integrations & deleting your data
You can disconnect Instagram or Google Calendar at any time from Account — this immediately revokes our access and deletes cached content. To delete your entire account and all associated data, see our Data Deletion Instructions.
You can also revoke our app directly with the provider:
- Facebook / Instagram: facebook.com/settings → Business Integrations
- Google: myaccount.google.com/permissions
12. Cookies
We use essential cookies only — to keep you signed in and to remember your session. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
13. Children
SlideLobster is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or via the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
