Displays & pairing

Pairing a TV or browser to a display

How to connect a TV, Fire Stick, Chromebox, or any web browser to a SlideLobster display.

What you need

Anything that can open a web browser:

  • A smart TV with a built-in browser
  • A streaming stick (Amazon Fire Stick, Chromecast with Google TV, Apple TV with a browser app)
  • A Mac mini, Raspberry Pi, or Chromebox plugged into the TV's HDMI port

How pairing works

  1. In SlideLobster, open the display you want to show, then click Pair a screen. You'll get a 6-character code.
  2. On the TV, open the browser and go to slidelobster.com/pair.
  3. Enter the code and tap Pair.

The TV will immediately switch to your live display.

Tips

  • Pairing codes expire after 10 minutes for security. Generate a new one if it times out.
  • Use fullscreen mode in the browser (F11 on most TVs) for the cleanest look.
  • If your TV browser sleeps, disable screensavers / auto-sleep in the TV settings.
